Simon Foster has 30 years of management experience and is Head of Portfolio Strategy on the Bank of America (BofA) account based in Charlotte NC. He has responsibilities that include Integrated Portfolio Services, Market, Occupancy and Capital Planning. JLL are the lead provider to BofA supporting some 80 million sq, ft. across their global portfolio with responsibility for FM, Capital Projects, Soft Services, Technology and Business Intelligence.
In 2015 Simon was appointed Global Account Director for the JP Morgan Chase (JPMC) Account. The JPMC contract was notable for expanding the use of technology to capture all JPMC's real estate data in a single data warehouse – including portfolio data for multiple service providers. In his role, Simon led a global team of over 1,300 providing, Integrated Portfolio Services, Facility Management, Project Management, Energy Management, Technology and Business Intelligence, across the globe, supporting over 7,500 premises, totaling approximately 75 million sq. ft.
Simon joined JLL in 2014 supporting the HSBC Account covering approximately 65 million sq. ft. across 4,000 cities globally. In this role Simon was responsible for Business Insight & Technology, Procurement, Health & Safety and Soft Services.
Before joining JLL in 2014, Simon was at Credit Suisse where he was Managing Director, Global Head of Real Estate Strategy for Corporate Real Estate based in London. With responsibility for a portfolio of 211 offices totaling over 11 million sq. ft. across 56 countries he oversaw the development and delivery of real estate strategies, delivering certified savings of over $180 million (15%) over a 3 year period.
Prior to his global role, Simon was Managing Director, EMEA Head of Corporate Real Estate and Services where he radically transformed the portfolio, opening 40 new offices and completing over 100 fit-out projects. With fiscal responsibility for occupancy costs totaling approximately $320 million per annum, direct expenses of $25 million p.a. and management of over 700 FTE's / Outsourced staff.
Prior to Credit Suisse Simon held senior management roles at Deutsche Bank, Bankers Trust and Skandia with responsibilities across a diverse range of disciplines including Operations, Finance, Investment and Accounting. He started his career at Girobank, the banking arm of the Post Office with responsibility for Finance and Accounting of the Investment Banking activities.
Education and affiliations
Simon is a qualified accountant and a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants. He attended the University of Brighton in the UK graduating with a BA (Hons.) in Accounting and Finance.
