Our people


Over the past 15 years, Mr. Smith has led the successful completion of over $3.5B in real estate and advised Fortune 100 clients' projects, teams, and companies. He has performed his work throughout the Americas in the areas of project management, program management, creation and recovery of complex projects.

Mr. Smith has earned a reputation for effectively directing all disciplines of new, growing, stabilized, and distressed projects throughout the real estate cycle for office, hotel, residential, entertainment, retail, and infrastructure projects in urban, suburban, and resort areas. The depth and breadth of his experience in ground up construction, project management, and finance guides our clients through many of the challenges inherent in horizontal and vertical development yielding untapped value, reduced costs, and mitigated risks.

Previously, Mr. Smith was a Vice President in JLL's Capital Markets group in Chicago and the Management/Leasing and Development teams in Denver, and worked with Hines in New York City. Prior to Hines, Mr. Smith was a rocket scientist and systems engineer - concepting, developing, integrating, and on-boarding over $3 billion in high tech systems throughout the world.

Education and Affiliations

Mr. Smith earned his MBA with a specialization in International Banking and Portfolio Finance from Mercer University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from Bowling Green State University. He extended his engineering education at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia.  He has been active in several real estate organizations, spoken at real estate conferences, published articles, and has held real estate licenses in Colorado, Illinois, and the State of New York.
