​Current Responsibilities

Courtney Smith is a Senior Vice President in JLL's Corporate Solutions group where she serves as the Account Manager for a Fortune 50 financial services firm providing client relationship management, account management and team oversight for Transaction, Lease Administration and Brokerage services. In this role, Courtney is responsible for developing and implementing the account operational and governance model – playbooks, procedures, analytics and technology – which has been adopted by JLL as well as other 3rd party firms who provide Transaction services to the client. Additionally, she supports strategic portfolio initiatives for the client, undertaking complex analysis to conceptualize actionable strategies that align real estate activities with the broader business objectives.

Experience

Courtney has been at JLL for 11 years – 8 years in the USA and 2.5 years in Hong Kong. Her experience includes portfolio planning, individual asset reviews, location analysis and advisory, program management office (PMO) and transaction management. She has delivered projects and services across a variety of markets and industries. Select highlights of Courtney's tenure with JLL include:

  • Working in the Strategic Consulting and Transaction Management service lines, establishing a strong foundation for delivery of integrated and strategic portfolio solutions

  • Consistently receiving client satisfaction scores of over 4.0 (out of 5.0) across all projects led and managed within the past 5 years

  • Leading multifaceted real estate strategy projects in over 15 markets across 8 countries in Asia

  • Participation in JLL's leadership exchange program with placement in Hong Kong, 2011-2014

  • Co-authoring a whitepaper, "Today's smart non-profit – How to successfully do more with much less", 2015

  • Participation in JLL's Account Manager Readiness  Program, 2016

  • Participation in JLL's Women's Leadership Summit, 2017

Courtney's strong consulting and transaction management experience, combined with her knowledge of Asian markets and business practices, enables her to provide clients with balanced advice on all elements of global portfolio management.

Education and Affiliations

Courtney graduated from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and International Studies.  Courtney is an active member and thought leadership contributor of the CoreNet NYC Chapter and is involved in various philanthropic organizations. She is a LEED Green Associate, a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of New York, a Six Sigma Green Belt, and trained on the LaMarsh change management model.​
