Current Responsibilities

Tim Grant joined JLL in 2017 to grow the company’s office property agency practice on the San Francisco Peninsula and in Silicon Valley while continuing to represent select tenants in the market. His comprehensive background includes design consulting, marketing, and leasing of office projects, tenant representation services, as well as sales and underwriting of office properties.

With 40 years of commercial real estate brokerage experience, Tim has worked in 3 distinct California markets. He began his career in Orange County in 1978. Three years later he joined CBRE where he worked for 32 years, first in Ventura County for 16 years before relocating to the Bay Area in 1997. Immediately prior to JLL, Tim worked at Avison Young as their lead office broker in Silicon Valley from 2013-17. Over his 20 years in the Bay Area, Tim has completed $1.7B in transactions, including 800+ leases for over 5.6M square feet, plus a dozen major institutional investment sales.

Education and affiliations
Tim is a graduate of UCLA with a B.A. in Geography Ecosystems and took additional coursework after graduation at UCLA and UCI to obtain a CA Broker’s license. He has been an active community member throughout his life having served 12 years as a Zone Chairman for Ducks Unlimited, a Board Member with the Ventura County United Way, 8 years as a coach, team manager and USSF licensed referee for youth soccer on the Peninsula, a Board member of the Aragon Dons Foundation and a volunteer with San Mateo High’s athletic programs.
