​Current responsibilities
Megan Mackinson is a Vice President in JLL’s Occupancy Planning Group, leading the firm’s Occupancy Planning Consulting team.

In this capacity, she leads a team of 17 design and architecture experts with a combined 125 years of experience who conduct test-fits and 3D floor plans leveraging AutoCAD and Revit software. In addition, she oversees data/site validation, stacking plans, migration plans, end-state seating/blocking plans and occupancy planning support.

Megan also has experience with acquisitions/mergers, campus master planning and IWMS/CAFM system implementations. 

Previous experience
Megan has more than eight years of real estate experience. She joined JLL in 2010 and held roles in Occupancy Planning, Project Management, Facilities Management and Construction Management. She approaches projects dynamically, integrating previous tools and best practices from these different skill sets.

Prior to her current role, Megan served as a Project Manager on the Motorola Mobility account. Her duties ranged from an onsite move coordinator for moves ranging from 5-200 people to being an integral team member in the Motorola Company separation. As part of the Motorola Mobility separation, Megan managed all purchase orders, budgets, cash flow reports, schedules and vendor coordination. She was responsible for over 1.5 million square feet and an average of $11.5 million for Motorola Mobility annually.

Her past projects include Motorola Mobility separation, airport hangar build-out, CEO suite build-out, video conferencing projects, facility capital improvements, site relocations, decommissions, lab expansion and improvements, and teledata conversions. 

Prior to joining JLL, Megan held a Facility and Services role at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an Associate Project Manager role at Clune Construction.

Education and affiliations
Megan has a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago, focusing on Management and Information Systems.

She is also a LEED Green Associate, member of Chicago Catholic Charities Board, member of JLL’s Supernova Certification Committee and treasurer of her Condo Association.
