Current Responsibilities

T.J. Basalla manages marketing for the Great Lakes Region, focusing directly on Cleveland, Detroit and the state of Michigan. T.J. partners directly with our client teams to provide guidance on business development, strategic communications and brand marketing.

Additionally, T.J. works in tandem with our clients to develop property marketing strategies from concept to implementation.

Experience

T.J. joined JLL after nearly five years as a Marketing Communications Specialist for Hewlett-Packard (HP). In that role, T.J. created, coordinated and implemented marketing campaigns and content to drive revenue within HP's U.S. Public Sector region. He developed and created customer reports, newsletters, web content, video and social media to support HP's federal, state and local government accounts. T.J. also supported HP's presence at various customer trade shows and community events. 

T.J. transitioned to the marketing field after a successful stint in the radio industry early in his career. He served in various on-air, production and behind-the-scenes roles at stations in Cleveland, Syracuse and Burlington, Vermont.

Education and Affiliations

T.J. earned his Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism and political science from Syracuse University. While at Syracuse, he served as Senior Announcer at WJPZ-FM and covered Syracuse University football, basketball and lacrosse for WAER-FM. T.J. earned his Master of Science in Management from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. T.J. is active member and social media coordinator of the Northeast Ohio chapter of the Syracuse University Alumni Association. He served as President of the WJPZ Alumni Association from 2012 to 2014.
