Current Responsibilities
Eduardo Pena joined JLL in March 2017 as Vice President to JLL New Jersey’s retail brokerage team. After spending the last 13 years managing retail expansion programs, he will rely on his 20 years of retail leasing experience to grow JLL’s retail footprint in the market. Eduardo’s expertise is in strategic planning, landlord representation and investment sales.

Experience
Eduardo has extensive knowledge in ground up retail development, site selection and retail leasing.

Prior to joining JLL, he was responsible for establishing new store development strategies for Verizon Wireless, Toys “R” Us, Burger King and most recently, Banfield Pet Hospital. At Verizon, Eduardo managed the expansion efforts for the brand’s corporate and franchise locations. During his tenure at Toys “R” Us, Eduardo was part of the team that combined Babies “R” Us and Toys “R” Us throughout the United States, secured pop up locations, managed asset protection and spearheaded property management initiatives for more than 860 domestic locations. At Burger King, Eduardo was instrumental in developing the strategy for its franchisee network in the Northeast, and was on the team responsible for the national corporate store program. At Banfield Pet Hospital, he initiated growth plans for the Stand Alone hospitals in the Northeast.

Eduardo worked as an associate at Robert K Futterman & Associates and then moved on to Insignia/ESG which was acquired by CB Richard. His real estate career began in New York City where he represented organizations such as JD Carlisle, Wharton Properties, Forest City Ratner Co., Related on the developers’ side and consulted for the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Before his career in retail leasing, Eduardo gained experience in the hospitality industry working for Walt Disney World and Hyatt Hotels.

Education and Affiliations
Eduardo earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State’s School of Hospitality Management.
