Current Responsibilities
Mike Parlato is a LEED AP Senior Vice President of JLL’s Project and Development Services group in the Central Region. Mike is currently managing the redevelopment of 222 S. Riverside in Chicago for RREEF, which involves major plaza, aesthetic and infrastructure upgrades to the building. He recently completed a new headquarters for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) for a 180,000 square foot ground up Class A office building in Rosemont, IL. The facility contains a significant lab and research component, but primarily serves as the headquarters for AAOS. Mike was also recently responsible for managing several dozen tenant interior projects for Arden Realty. Mike delivered these projects, which were in various stages of completion, ahead of their commencement dates as well as assisted the real estate brokers with new lease opportunities.

Mike managed the design and construction of Chicago Union Station Company’s fiscal year 2011 capital projects. The projects included a 50,000 SF build-out of Amtrak’s LEED Silver Central Division interior office space as well as a new chiller plant, boiler plant, risers with capacity for future tenancy, cooling towers, façade restoration, environmental remediation and elevator modernization. Prior to that, Mike managed the build-out of Cisco’s new 81,825 square foot office space in Rosemont, IL. Cisco now occupies three floors that are LEED Gold Commercial Interiors certified in a LEED Gold Core & Shell Certified building. Mike provided LEED CI feasibility study & cost analysis services, as well as an action plan to guide the team through the process for achieving LEED CI GOLD certification. As project manager, Mike is responsible for the program creation, design management, master schedule, master budget, cashflow and overall coordination between the client, developer, consultants, external stakeholders and jurisdictional authorities. Mike brings a diverse background in the Architectural/Engineering industry holding design and management positions on multiple major design/build projects. As a result, Mike brings a wealth of resources to our clients throughout the Midwest.

Prior to joining JLL in 2006, Mike Parlato was a project manager/civil engineer with A. Epstein and Sons International, Inc., an architectural/engineering firm. He was a project manager for the $850M LEED certified McCormick Place West Expansion as well as the Lakeshore East multi-use subdivision development in downtown Chicago.

Education and Affiliations
Mike Parlato earned his Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Villanova University. He is also a registered Professional Engineer with the State of Illinois and earned accreditation as a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) as well as a Member  of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
