Current responsibilities
As CEO of JLL’s Strategic Solutions group, Doug guides a team of 100+ professionals dedicated to developing customized solutions that help corporate clients align their business and real estate needs. Currently, he is accountable for client development with Key Bank, ExxonMobil, City National Bank, SunTrust Bank, PNC/National City Bank, and Philips Electronics.

Previous experience
A leader in the real estate industry for 25 years, 18 being with our firm, he brings expert project and people management skills, along with a proven track record of helping real estate organizations maximize the efficiency of their national and global portfolios. His career includes experience on all three sides of real estate, as an investor, a corporate user and an advisor. His broad expertise makes him highly effective at collaborating with clients to build solutions that best meet their current and future business and real estate needs.

Prior to assuming his current role, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of JLL’s Project and Development Services (PDS) Group in the Americas. In this role he was responsible for more than 600 professionals managing more than $5 billion in capital projects, including development management, interior project management and program management initiatives.

In addition, he was the Global Chairman of JLL’s Banking Industry Practice; where he founded and developed this industry sector. As head of this practice, he drove the development of unique offerings sharing best practices and innovation of new approaches such as integrated program management for transactions and project services, and creation of multi-site roll-out services for re-branding, branch conversions and equipment roll-outs.

In the years before joining JLL, he was Executive Vice President and National Accounts Manager for the Satulah Group’s, corporate real estate consulting practice. Prior to Satulah, he was the Acquisitions Manager for the Retail Facilities Department of Wells Fargo Bank, where he led the merger and integration of six banks and hundreds of facilities.

Education and affiliations
Doug holds a BA in economics from the University of Michigan. In addition, he holds a master’s of corporate real estate (MCR) designation from CoreNet (Corporate Real Estate Network), where he was Vice President and Chapter Officer in Los Angeles.

As a member of the CoreNet faculty, he has co-lectured on both project management and basic finance. He is also a regular speaker on best practices and future trends for project management. Doug is certified as a Six Sigma Greenbelt by Motorola University.
