Current responsibilities
Steven Bender joined JLL in 2016 as a Senior Vice President and Account Manager. In his role, Steve provides stategic leadership and guidance while establing a standard of service for JLL clients.

He delivers expert solutions to their real estate and facility issues and works closely with clients to assess and implement real estate initiatives, balancing costs with quality to yield the most effective project outcomes.

Years of experience
Steve has more than 16 years of experience in facilities management and planning. 

Prior to JLL, Steve worked as a Senior Program Director for BRG, a workplace management and consulting firm aquired by JLL.

During his tenure with BRG, Steve provided occuapancy planning services for a global athletic retail client, overseeing a workplace management team of more than 30 people.

Previously, he worked for Kimberly-Clark for more than 30 years, with his most recent role being Senior Manager for Roswell and EMEA Facilities with Kimberly-Clark. 

Key transactions

  • As interim Facility Manager for Western Europe and UK facilities, managed 150,000 square feet across 10 countries in Western Europe, oversaw $7 million capital budget, led program management office and implemented strategy for facilities impacted by business contraction, generating $4.2 million in annual cost savings by closing six offices and relocating seven offices in France, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Netherlands and Belgium
  • As Senior Manager for US and EMEA facilities, oversaw $MM capital project for 175,000 square foot World Headquarters and Research and Development facility; Developed and implemented strategy to expand FM scope for Central/Easter Europe, Middle East and Africa, adding an additional 100,000 square feet with a $6 million annual operating budget 
  • Implemented strategy to reduce footprint at UK office, generating more than $1 million in annual savings while transforming workspace 

Steve received his Bachelors in Industrial Education from Western Michigan University.
