Current responsibilities
Jonathan Paine is a Senior Vice President within JLL's Real Estate Investment Banking (REIB) division, which is a part of the firm's Capital Markets Group. Since joining REIB in August 2013, Mr. Paine has focused on structured equity placements consisting of preferred equity, mezzanine financing and joint venture equity placements. Mr. Paine also partners with the national investment sales platform on dispositions, acquisitions and recapitalizations across the broad capital markets landscape for both owner and lender clients.

Prior to joining JLL's Capital Markets Group, Mr. Paine was with Means Knaus Partners (MKP), a Houston-based real estate operating partner and manager, where he was the Vice President of Finance. In this role, Mr. Paine was responsible for evaluating co-invest opportunities, managing the corporate finance function and ultimately managing the sale of MKP to Jones Lang LaSalle in August 2013.  MKP partnered with institutional equity partners such as Carlyle, Walton Street, DRA and Beacon Capital in investments and developments across the United States. At the time of its sale, MKP had 25 million square feet under management, having co-investment positions in roughly 1.25 million square feet. During his career, Mr. Paine has been involved in the sale, financing or leasing of nearly $1.3 billion in real estate.
