Current responsibilities
Phil Kirschner is a Senior Vice President in the Consulting group, based in New York. Mr. Kirschner leads the Workplace Strategy practice for the northeast United States. His technology background and 13 years of experience leading and advising multidisciplinary, strategic change initiatives at a major, global financial institution brings an innovative new perspective to JLL and our clients.

Previous experience
Mr. Kirschner was previously the Americas Head of Workplace Strategy, and Global Head of Workplace Effectiveness at Credit Suisse. In his role, Mr. Kirschner developed and promoted global space standards, including the award-winning “Smart Working” program which focuses on how best to use policies, space and advances in mobile technologies to address evolving workplace preferences and reduce occupancy expenses. He helped grow Smart Working from first pilot to an industry-leading, results-focused program with 14,000 staff in seven countries including an 85,000 sqft floor in Manhattan.

To measure performance in free-address environments, Mr. Kirschner partnered with internal IT architects and data scientists to develop innovative occupancy monitoring frameworks, piloting multiple sensor technologies and interactive dashboards. A strong workforce analytics partnership also demonstrated positive Smart Working impact on employee engagement and voluntary attrition.
Prior to his Workplace Strategy role, Phil was a global efficiency manager for professional services and software expenses. Before that, Phil ran information security awareness programs, and technology risk assessment and mitigation projects. He traveled extensively for all of his roles, including a year working in London, quickly adapting to unique clients, cultures and requirements.
