​​​​​​Current responsibilities
Marilynn Joyner is an Associate for JLL's Retail group. Ms. Joyner specializes in advising clients on their leasing and real estate strategies with a special emphasis ​on strategic planning, market analysis, workplace strategy, lease review and negotiations. She utilizes her comprehensive market knowledge and expertise to develop and implement sophisticated real estate strategies to reduce costs, save time, and mitigate risk for her clients.​

Experience
Prior to joining JLL, Ms. Joyner was a commercial real estate broker with NAI Avant for two years in Columbia, South Carolina. M​s. Joyner specialized in the sales and leasing of retail and office properties primarily in metro-Columbia along with completing several transactions in surrounding South Carolina submarkets. She represented her clients through the implementation of commercial real estate transactions and investments opportunities, while continuing to strengthen her business development within the community.

While practicing commercial brokerage with NAI Avant, MS. Joyner was elected by Richland County Council and served as a member of the Richland County Planning Commission where she assisted in the decision making of the future planning and economic development of Richland County. Ms. Joyner is also a graduate of the 2014 Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Columbia Class.

Education and affiliations
Ms. Joyner graduated from the University of South Carolina in May 2012 with a dual Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Dance Performance.

Ms. Joyner also spent three years in college as an intern with the South Carolina Bankers Association where she participated heavily in their government relations and grassroots efforts representing the banking and financial industry of South Carolina.

Currently, Ms. Joyner is a member of the Junior League of Washington, Greater Washington Alpha Delta Pi Alumnae Association and The Washington Ballet's Jete Society.

She is a​ member of ICSC and holds real estate licenses in Virginia, Washington, DC, Maryland and South Carolina.​
