Current Responsibilities
As the Group Manager with the Atlanta Property Management team, Michael Strickland provides senior management oversight for the Georgia-Pacific Center, United Way building and other commercial real estate assets managed by our local property management teams. His responsibilities include managing profitable P/L for multiple assets, delivering superior client service, creating business development and growth opportunities and team recruitment, development and retention.

Previously as the Account Director, Michael lead Jones Lang LaSalle’s 62-person real estate & facilities service delivery team for The Coca Cola Company and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights facility in Atlanta, Georgia with a combined portfolio totaling more than 4 million square feet of client office, industrial, retail, and manufacturing space.

Mr. Strickland worked with the Coca Cola Company account from 2009 - 2015. During this time period he has grew the account from primarily an Atlanta, GA based facility management account into a multi-service real estate account including: transaction services, lease administration, and project and facilities management throughout the United States, Europe and Africa. Under his leadership the team consistently achieved strategic objectives and exceeded all key client performance metrics. In 2013, Mr. Strickland co-led successful 5-year contract renewal with The Coca Cola Company and in May 2014, he developed and initiated a new facility management agreement with the National Center for Civil and Human Rights facility in Atlanta, Georgia. During his tenure, he has annually scored in the top 10-20% on both client and employee satisfaction scores within the Firm. He is a charter member of the Jones Lang LaSalle Diversity and Inclusion council and he currently serves as the SE Regional Account Practice Lead. In this role, Mr. Strickland is directly responsible for mentoring and co-developing internal employee rotation plans for High Value Talent employees and recruiting external talent for business resource fulfillment.

Experience
Mr. Strickland has over 16 years of experience with Jones Lang LaSalle. Prior to his current role he served as the Client Relationship Manager for the Metro Atlanta YMCA; YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles; and Choice Point. He co-developed and managed operating budgets for 30 client locations – approximately 3,000,000 square feet throughout the United States. He coached, counseled and successfully directed a 35-member team of Facility and Project Management professionals; managed annual operating expenses to budget and achieved over $300,000 in annualized savings. In addition, Mr. Strickland served as an Area Manager for the Equifax Corporation and as a General Manager for the Parkway Center office building in Marietta, Georgia and The Equitable Building in downtown Atlanta. He consistently met or exceeded client specified NOI and all other revenue targets; maintained operating expenses below budget; and managed tenant improvement and capital projects.

Before joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Strickland worked for 10 years as an engineer for Ford Motor Company in Chicago, IL and Detroit, MI. He was primarily responsible for advanced model vehicle development, strategic planning and vendor supply chain management.

Education and Affiliations
Mr. Strickland holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in economics and finance from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University.
