​Current Responsibilities
As Senior Vice President, Rick Spector is tasked with building the new retail brokerage team located in St. Louis, Missouri. Responsible for administration and management of his team, together they will conduct retail leasing and retail sales efforts throughout the St. Louis and Southern Illinois markets.  In addition to promoting the corporate brand, Rick is responsible for lead creation and all other aspects of client representation relating to retail.  With his background in institutional landlord representation, Rick brings a unique approach to third party brokerage for both his landlord and tenant clients.


Previously, Rick served as the Senior Leasing Agent at Regency Centers responsible for the Upper Midwest portfolio, where he routinely completed national and regional transactions for both small shop and anchor tenants.  Specializing in representing insititutional landlords of grocery anchored shopping centers, Rick excelled in helping landlords create and execute a proper merchandising plan within each specific center.  Rick has varied experience, having focused not only on the leasing efforts of a three million square foot portfolio, but also multiple ground-up developments.  Most recently, he pre-leased a 213,000 sf Whole Foods anchored shopping center in Indiana at 100% occupancy.  And in Illinois, Rick successfully pre-leased an 86,000 sf Mariano's Fresh Market (Kroger) anchored shopping center to 100% occupancy before the shopping center was sold.  For the past two years, Rick was amongst the highest producing leasing agents within Regency's nationwide portfolio, taking the top spot in 2014 with his completion of over 75 transactions that year.

Prior to working at Regency Centers, Rick worked in the Midwest office of DLC Management, Inc. where he concentrated in landlord representation.  While his main focus was leasing, at both Regency Centers and DLC Management, Rick was also responsible for all aspects of canvassing, lease negotiation, marketing efforts and proper budgeting for his portfolios.

While living in Chicago and away from his home market for the last six years, Rick successfully completed numerous transactions in 8 states, including Missouri and Illinois.  He recently made the decision to move back to his hometown of St. Louis, where he was formerly a retail broker specializing in both landlord and tenant representation.

Education and Affiliations
Rick attained a bachelor's degree in Economics with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Kansas. Rick is a Licensed Salesperson in Missouri and a Licensed Broker in Illinois.  He is also an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and formerly served on the Illinois ICSC NextGen board.
