Current responsibilities

John Marshall is a Managing Director of JLL since December 2015. John brings a deep understanding of the South Florida market having spent the last 25 years transacting deals across the region. In addition, he has competed in more than 15 Ironman triathlons and will bring that focus, discipline and passion to help drive the growth of our platform in South Florida.

Experience

Prior to joining JLL Brokerage, John was a Managing Principal of Cresa South Florida for five years.  Prior to his role with Cresa, John was Senior Director and co-managing partner of the five person tenant advisory practice group for Cushman & Wakefield of Florida, Inc. Prior to that John spent seven years as Vice President at The Hogan Group representing Teachers Insurance & Annuity Association. His responsibilities included the leasing and development of the 2.2 million square foot, 12-office building corporate office park known as Waterford at Blue Lagoon. John's distinguishing advantage in his tenant advisory role is his prior experience representing institutional owners and understanding how a landlord underwrites and analyzes a real estate transaction. This knowledge enables him and his team to create strategies for the firm's clients that delivers transaction structures extending beyond "market-driven" to that of client driven real estate solutions. In this capacity he also experienced the entire office building development process from design phase all the way through to the lease-up and disposition of the asset.
