​​​​Current responsibilities
Nora Neilson joined JLL in 2015. Her primary function is to grow and oversee property management for the Carolinas by replicating the model that has been so successful for JLL in Tier One cities across the country.

Nora has extensive experience in managing Class A high-rise and suburban office, retail, flex, and mixed-use portfolios in the Carolinas and the Washington DC area, for a diverse group of ownership interests including Developers, REITs, and Institutional and Tenants in Common (TIC). Her various and diverse third party portfolios have exceeded 3.5 million square feet with values in excess of $4.5B.

Her real estate expertise in both fiscal and physical management of assets makes her ideally suited for managing JLL’s growing Raleigh portfolio in area including, but not limited to, review and analysis of annual operating/capital/budgets/strategic plans and subsequent client reporting, cash flow management, risk analysis, lease interpretation, and management, contract management, special event coordination, emergency preparedness, community relations, customer service and retention, purchasing, inventory control, loan review and modification recommendations, human resource management, client development, and general corporate communications.

Prior to joining JLL, Nora served as Director of Property Management for Spectrum Properties; a Carolina’s based full service boutique real estate Company with offices in Charlotte, Raleigh, and Nashville. Located in Raleigh, she oversaw the Company’s Triangle (Raleigh-Durham) portfolio, consisting of numerous projects and clients, with a staff of thirty, and portfolio exceeding 3.8 million square feet.

Nora began her career in the Washington DC metropolitan area where she served as General Manager for Carr America, the successor to The Oliver Carr Company.

In that role Nora oversaw a number of different and diverse portfolios from the retrofitted Historic Metropolitan Square and Willard office building in Washington DC’s CBD, to Real Estate Assets of The George Washington University, to suburban mixed use offerings with hotel, retail, and office.

Nora holds a Master’s in Business Administration, a B.A. in communications, the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation and her LEED Green Associate Certification.

She has also served as adjunct professor in the School of Real Estate Management and Development at St. Augustine’s College. Ms. Neilson is a past president of The Institute of Real Estate Management,.
