Current responsibilities
Allen Merrill is the Business Development Director, for JLL’s ProSite Assessments business. ProSite provides clients with physical asset inspection services with actionable information for long-term asset planning, maximization of value, and operational performance.

In this role, his major responsibility is to develop and sustain JLL internal and external client relationships and lead the effort in delivering strategic responses to proposals. Allen is also charged with expanding and refining JLL’s physical assessment services while maintaining current growth sectors including office, healthcare, education, life sciences, automotive, logistics and public institutions.

In his long history in commercial real estate and operations, including 17 with JLL, Allen has played key roles in multiple areas of the business. Allen has performed and supervised both limited and comprehensive general building evaluations for well over 250 projects during his career, including low and high-rise office buildings, industrial parks, resort hotels, retail centers, and multi-family properties. As a founding member of ProSite Assessments, Allen served as the Operations Director of the business line. In this role, he managed a team of building assessors providing services to multiple clients.

Prior to these roles Allen held positions as Regional Manager for a national REIT client and has managed a team of up to 60 members in providing direct Facility Management and Lease Administration for a client fortune 100 firm.

During his previous tenure in the Engineering Services unit of JLL, Allen provided direct support to multiple clients totaling more than 30 million square feet of managed space in the Western United States. Allen provided analysis of physical assets focusing on infrastructure systems, their condition and operating efficiency, occupant comfort, cost efficient operations, team effectiveness, and risk management. During this time, Allen held a position on the Critical Operations Advisory Board (COAB) team where he contributed Best Practices to the client’s critical site operations.
