​Current Responsibilities
Wendy Chan is a Vice President within Jones Lang LaSalle’s Hotel & Hospitality Group. Her role within the firm’s Strategic Advisory and Asset Management practice leverages her background in hospitality operations, strategic and development advisory, transactions and real estate valuation. Based in Miami, she engages in consulting assignments that include preparing market, financial and benchmarking analyses, valuation and feasibility studies, as well as other advisory assignments with a geographic focus throughout Latin America, the Caribbean and Southeast United States.

Ms. Chan has engaged in a wide array of strategic and financial assignments over the past five years that recently include due diligence and valuation assignments particularly in South Florida, Mexico and Colombia for hotel and timeshare developments; lodging operator selection; and buy-side due diligence assignments for real estate portfolios in Latin America. Ms. Chan has experience working with developers, public institutional investors, public accounting firms, private equity firms, hotel management companies, banks and government entities. Aside from hospitality assets, other real estate valuation and advisory experience includes retail, residential, industrial and office asset classes.

Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Ms. Chan spent over two years with Ernst & Young’s Transaction Real Estate & Hospitality group where she focused on destination tourism strategy, hotel and mixed-use development advisory, commercial real estate valuation and due diligence assignments for real estate in South Florida, Latin America and the Caribbean. Other relevant hospitality and real estate experience stem from positions held in the U.S. and abroad with a hospitality valuation services firm, a foodservice professional services company and a global hotel company.

Education and Affiliations
Ms. Chan graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelors of Science in Hotel Administration. She currently serves as Vice President of the Cornell Hotel School Alumni Association of South Florida Board and is an Alumni Admissions Ambassador for Cornell University. She is a native Spanish speaker and conversationally fluent in Mandarin.
