Current Responsibilities
Mark Seltzer is a Senior Vice President with Jones Lang LaSalle where he leads the Development Advisory Services team. Mark and his team provide advisory services for corporate and institutional real estate owners, bridging the gap to the development community and providing guidance on complex development structures. Current projects include representing Drexel University to select a development partner(s) and negotiate the Master Development Agreement for their 10 acre, 5 million+ square foot Innovation Neighborhood in University City, Philadelphia.


Experience
Prior to JLL, Mark was a Vice President at the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) – Philadelphia’s economic development agency, where he was responsible for the day to day redevelopment of The Navy Yard, including the marketing, transaction, and property management activity. The Navy Yard, a 1,200 acre former Naval Shipyard, is now home to more than 11,000 employees housed in 6.8 million square feet of office, industrial/manufacturing, and research and development space.  During Mark’s 7.5 years, The Navy Yard added more than 1 million square feet of commercial space and over 5,000 employees.

Prior to this position, Mark worked for Toll Brothers, Inc. in various capacities.  Most notably, he was selected to be one of the inaugural Project Managers to open Toll Brothers’ Philadelphia office, where the team led the opening and development of Naval Square, a gated residential community at 24th and Bainbridge Streets. Before joining Toll Brothers, Inc., Mark began his career in public accounting at Arthur Andersen (later acquired by KPMG). 

 
Education and Affiliations
Mark received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Maryland, and a Master of Business Administration from Drexel University.  Mark currently serves on the Board of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of NAIOP, LEADERSHIP Philadelphia, and the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce’s Third Century Initiative (3ci) Council. Mark is a frequent speaker at industry events, as well as a lecturer at Temple University’s Real Estate Institute. Mark is an active participant in the Greater Philadelphia Lupus Foundation, most recently leading the committee for the annual ‘Put on Purple’ campaign.
