Current Responsibilities

Ms. Lu is a Senior Project Manager with Jones Lang LaSalle's Project and Development Services practice in the Mid-Atlantic Region.  Her experience and background ranges from managing tenant fit-outs to office hoteling initiatives and mission critical facilities to large scale development projects.

Experience

The International Monetary Fund:  Ms. Lu currently manages several capital improvement projects including a multi-year restroom renovation with riser replacement and hazardous materials remediation; a multi-year roof replacement that addresses envelope designs; and a bicycle facility that promotes environmentally conscious transportation.

EADS North America:  Ms. Lu serves as the construction and space utilization adviser to EADS North America.  From advising on the real estate long term occupancy strategy to setting up satellite offices in Alabama and Florida, Ms. Lu has been an extension of the EADS real estate/facilities department.

Hanger Orthopedic Group:  Ms. Lu managed reconfiguration projects at the Hanger Orthopedic Group Headquarters as a staff augmentation strategy to the Real Estate Department.  Ms. Lu provided a full range of services that included budgeting, space planning, contract negotiation, construction administration, and move management.

Linkia:  Under Ms. Lu's management of this 10,000 s.f. renovation in place, Linkia was able to gain 12 additional work spaces and one conferencing space.  Construction worked around the business operation.  Under demanding time and budget constraints, Ms. Lu was able to complete on time and budget including all of the add-alternative wish list items.

Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Ms. Lu managed real estate projects in commercial interiors, retail, call centers, pseudo-medical clinics, corporate offices, and military/government interiors. Ms. Lu's involvement begins at the inception from strategic planning to site selection, taking projects through planning and construction management to occupancy. She was instrumental in negotiating economic development incentives to fund three construction projects in Washington, Minnesota and Montana.  Ms. Lu also worked in an architectural capacity for several Washington DC area firms.  Her design projects include the Inter-American Development Bank, a U.S. Air Base in Italy, and numerous domestic and international travel agency outlets.

Education and Affiliations

Ms. Lu holds a Bachelor's degree in Design and Environmental Analysis from Cornell University and an MBA from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. She is a LEED Accredited Professional.
