Current responsibilities John Fa is the Managing Director of JLL's Project and Development Services, Mid-Atlantic Region.
John recently joined JLL, having previously led the San Francisco Advisory Services Group as Senior Vice President with Colliers. Managing multimillion-dollar projects and developments, as well as implementing creative strategies to maximize revenue and combat market challenges has set John apart as a successful real estate leader. His diverse experience in both the private and public sectors further distinguishes his versatile background and skills.
John will be responsible for managing all Project and Development Services including new business development, strategic sourcing, market/region growth and resource/employee management.
He will be tasked with creating the vision, strategy, and multi-year plan for Regional Business Lines and for developing and driving the Business Line Strategy to achieve the vision.
ExperienceJohn has been involved in the development and rehabilitation of over 2 million square feet in the San Francisco Bay Area and across the nation. On behalf of the Presidio Trust, he managed the development process of the 23-acre Letterman Digital Arts Center, the corporate headquarters of filmmaker George Lucas.
John optimized a $200M corporate real estate portfolio through creation, implementation and expert management of a successful real estate strategy.
He developed a highest and best use redevelopment plan to maximize the revenue potential of under-utilized real estate assets, and performed critical analysis on optimization of real estate assets and facility operations for George Mason University.
Prior to joining Colliers, John was the Director of Real Estate for the George Mason University Foundation, the largest public university in Virginia.
His professional roles have ranged from having his own independent real estate consultant practice, serving as the Vice President of Real Estate and Corporate Officer of a large publicly traded company, and as the Associate Director of Development of the Presidio, a former military base converted into an income generating national park.
John has also worked in varying capacities with Hines, Charles Dunn Real Estate Services, and Turner Construction.
