​​Current responsibilities
Since January 2012, Mike Buzzeo has been a member of the JLL team that advises the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s World Trade Center Redevelopment Department on matters relating to the development and construction of commercial, retail and infrastructure projects at the site. 

Mike currently serves as the Project Manager for the development of One World Trade Center, which features 3.5 million sq. ft. of Class-A office space. 

Mike’s duties include providing construction oversight and coordination services related to the implementation of the building’s MEP program including value engineering efforts and leasing requirements coordination, managing change order processes associated with ownership enhancement initiatives, and coordinating the building’s life safety, broadcast, site wide communications, and operations systems. 

Mike is responsible for over $285 million of Port Authority One World Trade Center construction budgets for core and shell changes and enhancements. Mike saved the Port Authority $37 million from 2012 - 2013 thru value engineering efforts and scope reduction exercises.

In December 2013 Mike was assigned by the Port Authority to be the lead project manager for the Project Management Facility and PAPD Command Center project at the World Trade Center site. The Project Management Facility and the PAPD Command Center is an additional $150 million dollar core & shell, and interior project.

Mike is a Senior Project Manager with 13 years of experience in development, design and construction management, completing over 5.5 Million sq ft of trading floors, interior office build-outs, base-building, and infrastructure projects totaling over $5 Billion in New York.

Mike has two years of New York and international real estate investment sales experience, two years of hotel development and management experience, and a year of investment banking experience.

After completing his Masters degree in Construction Management from New York University, Mike worked for Cauldwell Wingate a New York City general contractor as the project manager where he completed a $46 million, 750,000 sq ft trading floor, and interior build-out project for JP Morgan Chase at 277 Park Avenue, New York, NY.

Mike also has completed trading floor build-outs for AIG’s private equity group, and Brysam Global Partners, interior build-outs for New York University and Stahl Real Estate, and a core and shell new building project for Columbia University. 

Mike joined JLL in 2010 as part of the Bank of America account. Bank of America projects included trading floor build-outs, interior build-outs, base-building and infrastructure in New York City, Albany, NY, Kingston NY, and Menands, NY. In 2010 Mike’s total project cost savings for Bank of America was $972,085.  Mike completed 27 projects for Bank of America form June 2010 to October 2011. 

Mike received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Hartford, and a Master of Science degree in Construction Management from New York University. He has also received his OSHA Safety Card and Supported Scaffold Certificate.
