Our people

​​​​Current Responsibilities 

Jennifer Mitchell i​​s a Senior Project Manager of Jones Lang LaSalle focused on development management and advisory services in the Northeast Region.  Jennifer joined JLL in early 2014 from a privately held real estate developer. Jennifer has over 10 years of real estate development and construction experience and has worked on a variety of commercial, residential and mixed-use and seniors housing product types.

Previous Experience
Before joining JLL in New York, Jennifer worked with Townline Group, a privately held real estate developer in Vancouver, BC.  While at Townline, Jennifer was responsible for the development of The Hudson District, a 950,000SF master-planned community in Victoria, BC where she completed a feasibility analysis and phasing plan for the entire site.  In addition, Jennifer completed the ground-up development of Phase 2, a 114-unit residential rental tower with ground floor retail, as well as the design development and approval stages of Phases 3 & 4, a 128-unit residential rental tower and a 150,000SF commercial building.  Jennifer also worked as a project manager on several core & shell and tenant improvement projects, including, a 20,000SF Public Farmers Market in Phase 1. As part of her portfolio, Jennifer managed the development of 999 Seymour, a 126-unit residential condominium tower with 40,000SF of retail and office space in Vancouver, BC.

Jennifer has worked for Concert Properties, a pension fund owned real estate developer in Vancouver, BC.  At Concert Properties, Jennifer conducted feasibility analysis and managed technical approval process for The Harbourside, a 13-acre mixed-use master-planned community in North Vancouver, BC.  Development feasibility studies include concept design, risk analysis, and financial pro-formas to assess physical and financial feasibility of the development.  In addition, Jennifer managed the design development and municipal approval process for The Era, a 158-unit residential condominium tower in Victoria, BC.

Previous to Jennifer’s involvement in real estate development, she was a professional building envelope engineer with RDH Building Engineering Ltd.  During her time at RDH, Jennifer managed consulting engineering and project management activities for the full envelope rehabilitation of several moisture-damaged residential highrises.  Jennifer has also completed several maintenance and renewal plans for institutional client’s real estate portfolios.

Education and Affiliations
Jennifer holds an MBA from The Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario.  She also holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structures from Queen’s University.  Jennifer is a Registered Professional Engineer (PEng) in the Province of British Columbia and holds her LEED AP credential focusing on New Construction.  

Jennifer is currently active in the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and sits on ULI’s Urban Development Mixed-Use Product Council.  In addition, she was previously a member of the Board of ULI’s British Columbian Chapter and Co-Chair of ULI’s National Spring Conference.
