​Current Responsibilities
Sean Sweeney is a Senior Project Manager in the Northeast region of Jones Lang LaSalle.  His almost thirty plus years of experience working for construction management firms gives Sean Sweeney an excellent depth of knowledge to offer clients during the preconstruction and construction phases of a project.  Since 2011, Sean Sweeney has been part of the JLL staff assigned to managing the Madison Square Garden Transformation Project along with a team of skilled construction and development professionals.  He was involved in operations in 4 of the 7 phases of this one-of-a kind “mega - project”. Most recently he was involved in spearheading the field operations on an extremely fast paced renovation of  The St. Regis Hotel, for another high end interior tenant finish project for 292 guest rooms and suites, in a fully occupied 5 Star Hotel. Absolutely magnificent building constructed at the turn of the century. 

Sean Sweeney is committed to the challenge and responsibility of providing a quality, cost-effective product and has proven ability to manage high-profile, quality construction and managing multiple projects simultaneously. He has extensive experience with New Construction, Design/Build, Renovations and Rehabilitation Projects, Disaster Recovery, including Government, Municipal, Industrial, Commercial and Residential Projects in New York and around the country including coordination with Municipal & State Agencies.

Previous Experience
Sean Sweeney has extensive hospitality and infrastructure experience including elevator modernizations, MEP infrastructure, disaster recovery and exterior restoration. For a recently completed existing base building upgrade in Brooklyn, NY (circa pre-civil war) for a tenant finish and mechanical upgrades totaling over $5 million, the scope included new public restrooms, public corridors, egress stairways, elevators, new future elevator shafts for 8 new elevators, as well as a 4,000 SF MER on the roof of a 10 story building with over 5,000 LF of new piping ranging from 18” welded down to 2” threaded in a partially occupied building as well as new windows and roof repairs.  Following is a summary of his infrastructure experience:
  • Elevator modernizations – Sean Sweeney has been involved in projects with approximately 80 elevators including creating new shafts entirely, renovation / updating / new construction as well as approximately 40 escalators.
  • Exterior restoration – Experience includes the entire curtain wall (20+ stories) at the Vista International Hotel, a 4 story building for Kaplan Learning Center in Sacramento, CA and the aforementioned building in Brooklyn, NY.
  • Mechanical infrastructure – major infrastructure experience over his entire career capped by coordinating the logistics of the $850 mm Madison Square Garden “Transformation”.
​Education and Affiliations 
Sean Sweeney graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Science, Industrial Technology.  He is OSHA & First Aid Certified, a former certified Site Safety Manager as well a Certified Welder.  He also volunteers for Habitat for Humanity, Colorado Railroad Museum & Meals on Wheels, as well as Knights Of Columbus-Motorcycle Ministry NJ and The Friendly Sons Of the Shillelagh’s NJ.
