Current Responsibilities Mr. Gersten is currently responsible for Project Delivery, based in Boston, MA. With responsibility to the client’s four major US locations, Boston, Raleigh, Cincinnati, and Dallas, as well as work in Japan, China, India, and London, Mr. Gersten leads 17 JLL professionals to provide project delivery services to execute an annual client capital budget in excess of $220M. Mr. Gersten most recently introduced JLL’s cash flow modeling tool, as well as rolled out the JLL staffing model into the client’s culture. The JLL project delivery group has evolved into a high performing team under his leadership and mentoring. The team has continued to receive numerous client accolades for outstanding client satisfaction surrounding project delivery.
Experience Mr. Gersten joined Jones Lang LaSalle in July of 2010. His role consisted of daily on-site interaction with the client’s in house Project Directors. Mr. Gersten had direct oversight to the assignment of work and the successful completion of projects that ranged up to $5M, consisting of Real Estate consolidations, office renovations, and infrastructure/operations projects that supported the everyday financial institutional business. He was responsible for a team of 10 JLL project managers and 3 coordinators delivering $40M in capital projects per annum. In July of 2011, Mr. Gersten was recognized for his outstanding JLL achievements in team building and change management and was promoted to Vice President.
Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Gersten worked for McDonald’s USA in corporate Real Estate. He quickly raised through the ranks, providing outstanding team leadership, team building skills and successful change management oversight in his varied positions throughout the Northeast regions. Mr. Gersten was recognized numerous times throughout his McDonald’s career, culminating with the President’s Award, given annually to less than 1% of the associates within the organization.
Education and Affiliations Mr. Gersten obtained his M.B.A. from Providence College, Providence, RI with a concentration in management. Prior to studying for his M.B.A, Mr. Gersten attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA and received his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. He obtained honors and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
