Current Responsibilities
Mr. Smith is currently managing an 18-month, $30M corporate headquarters lobby renovation, which encompasses a new 10,600sf employee amenities hub, a new 12,300sf high-end servery, kitchen and dining space, a 1,200sf full-service coffee bar, a 7,000sf guest lobby, reception and waiting area, in addition to rebalancing the buildings’ high and low rise elevator banks and renovating a 4,600sf conferencing center reception area.

Mr. Smith joined Jones Lang LaSalle in August of 2006 as a dedicated project manager. Since joining the firm, he has managed over 175 projects totaling over $110M and covering over 1.75 million square feet. Representative work includes leading multiple teams on renovation, infrastructure, and multi-year initiatives. Projects types in this portfolio include full and partial floor interior construction and renovations, base building and equipment upgrades, LEED certifications, furniture reconfigurations, and trading desk and technology installations. Mr Smith is the recipient of several individual and team recognition awards and corresponding Jones Lang LaSalle “VIP Award” recognitions.

Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Smith was a Project Director at Fox Relocation Management (now Fox RPM), where he managed construction and relocations projects for ten years. During this tenure, he provided clients customized project management services for clients ranging from Staples, Liberty Mutual, Mass Development and   Harvard University, leading teams of Fox, client and vendor staff, incorporating proven best practices, to deliver strategic and tactical solutions and create seamless transitions.

Prior to joining Fox, Mr. Smith was an Office Designer and Project Manger for Prudential Insurance & Financial Services in Boston, where he constructed and renovated branch and regional office spaces throughout New England and New York, and he was a Designer at several small architectural firms in the Boston area.

Education and Affiliations
Mr. Smith earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Rhode Island School of Design in Providence. He is a member of the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) and is LEED AP certified.
