Current responsibilities
Sarah Dian is a Senior Vice President in the Jones Lang LaSalle’s Strategic Consulting organization, and is based in Raleigh, NC.  Ms. Dian’s focus is on the development of strategies that connect an organization’s operating platform with business initiatives.  She is responsible for leading projects that drive operational effectiveness and structural cost savings by linking location and occupancy with business objectives and metrics.

Ms. Dian has 15 years of experience assisting corporations with the development of strategic real estate platforms and occupancy plans that support a client’s competitive advantage. Specializing in strategic business analysis, she ensures an organization’s objectives are translated into operational efficiency and effectiveness by linking business goals to corresponding location and portfolio composition solutions. 

Areas of expertise include workforce talent and labor market dynamics, occupancy and workplace considerations, financial and operating performance optimization and business case development.

Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Ms. Dian was a Consulting Managing Principal with Cushman & Wakefield’s Business Consulting Group where she led engagements focused on location and portfolio composition.  

Her clients included Ameritrade, Avon, Banamex, Cable & Wireless, California State Automobile Association (CSAA), Capital One, Citigroup, Chiquita, Chubb Insurance, HBO Entertainment, Health Net, Kaiser Permanente, Lehman Brothers, Mars, Inc., Mellon Bank, MetLife, New York Life, Nortel Networks, Office Depot, Shell Oil, Union Bank of California, VIACOM, the United States Secret Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.

Ms. Dian also spent several years as a Senior Consultant with Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum Consulting helping public and corporate clients in the delivery of strategic occupancy planning, workplace improvement and programming consulting services.

Ms. Dian holds an MBA and Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis, MO and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Miami University in Oxford, OH. She is a member of CoreNet and has received her Master of Corporate Real Estate designation.
