Current Responsibilities
Mr. Meli is a Vice President based in JLL’s Miami office focusing on the middle market hotel space throughout the state of Florida, representing a variety of clients ranging from regional and national owner/operators to institutional investors.  A New England native, Mr. Meli was promoted within JLL in 2014 and relocated from Atlanta to Miami to focus primarily on building JLL’s middle market investment sales practice throughout the east coast, with a specific focus on the state of Florida.

Mr. Meli’s lodging industry expertise encompasses a broad scope of experience including operations, real estate and finance, having facilitated a variety of regional and national assignments with a cumulative value of nearly $2 billion involving institutional-quality hotels.  Mr. Meli joined JLL in Atlanta in 2012 from Hodges Ward Elliott, a leading boutique hotel brokerage and investment banking firm.

Representative Transactions
Include the sale of the Hampton Inn in Downtown Jacksonville; the sale of a 610-room portfolio of Hilton and Marriott properties located throughout Central and Southwest Florida; the sale of a 2,385-room national portfolio constructed by OTO Development; the $72-million sale of two Hampton Inns in Nashville’s West End submarket; the $62-million sale of the Hilton Garden Inn Constitution Square in Washington, DC’s NoMa submarket; the sale of a 1,856-room national portfolio constructed by OTO Development; the Holiday Inn Houston Reliant Park; the Hilton in Greenville, SC; The Fairmont Dallas located in the heart of Dallas’ Arts District; a 572-room regional portfolio of TownePlace Suites; the Courtyard in Nashville’s West End submarket; Daufuskie Island Resort located off the coast of Hilton Head Island; the Sofitel in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square; and the Denver Airport Marriott at Gateway Park.

Education and Licenses
A graduate of the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire, Mr. Meli is a licensed real estate salesperson and serves on the International Hospitality Advisory Board at his alma mater.
