Current Responsibilities
Truitt Alday is a Vice President for JLL’s Hotels and Hospitality Group in Chicago, Illinois.  Mr. Alday focuses on mid-market single asset and portfolio sales.  He is responsible for performing all aspects of financial underwriting, the creation of proposals and marketing materials, fostering client relationships, buyer discussions and assisting buyers and sellers through the closing process.  

Since joining JLL’s Chicago office in late 2013, Mr. Alday has facilitated the closing of approximately $150M of hotels across 12 properties representing around 2,000 guestrooms.  In over five years in JLL’s Chicago and Atlanta offices, Mr. Alday has been extensively involved in the marketing and sale of over 90 hotels and resorts across the U.S. with combined sales proceeds of approximately $1.2B.  These transactions, which represent over 11,000 guestrooms, include the sale of the $800M, 47 property U.S. Upscale Extended-Stay Portfolio, the 17 property Homestead Studio Suites Portfolio, a six property Courtyard by Marriott Portfolio and numerous single asset select service hotels across the United States.  

Prior Positions
Before joining JLL, Mr. Alday was a project manager and financial associate at DDRM Greatplace in Park City, Utah for four years.  DDRM developed the St. Regis Deer Valley, which opened in 2009.  During his time at DDRM, Mr. Alday primarily focused on future projects in the entitlement phases along with evaluating potential resort acquisitions throughout the Rocky Mountains, Mexico and Europe.  

Education and Licenses
Mr. Alday graduated from University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Economics.   He is a licensed broker in the state of Illinois and a licensed salesperson in the state of Georgia and Nebraska.
