Current Responsibilities
Tim Southard is Executive Vice President with Jones Lang LaSalle’s Hotels & Hospitality Group based in Atlanta, having joined JLL after a 13-year tenure with Hodges Ward Elliott.  He works in the full-service investment sales division for the South Central United States. 

Experience
Since 2000, Tim has partnered with Bob Webster to exclusively represent clients in the sales and financing of more than 90,000 hotel rooms totaling $14 billion.  Tim’s most notable recent assignments include the $112 million sale of the Waldorf-Astoria Chicago, the $360 million sale of the Montage Laguna Beach, the $103 million sale of the Le Meridien at MIT, the $91 million sale of the Omni Mount Washington Resort the sale of the 1,242-room Hilton Atlanta, the $113 million sale of the Washington Marriott Georgetown, the $226 million sale of the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines, $77 million sale of the Hotel Viking in 2014, the  $293 million sale of the 1,663-room Marriott Marquis Hotel, Atlanta's largest hotel, the $74 million sale of the Hutton Hotel in Nashville, ranked one of the Top Large City Hotels in the Continental U.S., and the $94 million sale of the Back Bay Hotel in Boston in 2013, the sale of the Rittenhouse Hotel in Philadelphia, ranked #2 business hotel in the United States, the $79 million sale of the Hotel Commonwealth, Boston's #1 hotel on Trip Advisor, and the $39.6 million sale of the Atlanta Westin Perimeter in 2012. Other notable transactions include the $95 million sale of the Hotel Sofitel Washington, DC, in 2010, the $113 million sale of the Hyatt Regency Boston in February 2009, the $900 million sale of the 22-property RLJ Urban Lodging Fund in February 2008, the $330 million sale of The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, the $260 million sale of the Renaissance Mayflower in Washington, DC, the $231 million sale of the Boston Marriott Long Wharf Hotel, and the $125 million sale of The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay. 

Positions
Prior to joining JLL, Tim was Vice President for Hodges Ward Elliott.  Previously, he was based in Atlanta as a pension fund consultant for LCG Associates, one of the nation’s largest independent investment consulting firms. Before being hired by LCG, Tim was the senior portfolio manager for ADAM Investment Company, an Atlanta-based money management firm with over $1 billion in assets. He began his career with The Prudential Insurance Company of America, with positions as a real estate and corporate credit analyst. 

Education and Affiliations
Tim graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
