​​​Current Responsibilities
Robert Webster is Managing Director with Jones Lang LaSalle’s Hotels & Hospitality Group based in Atlanta.  Mr. Webster joined JLL in 2011 after a 22-year tenure with Hodges Ward Elliott.  He currently leads the full-service investment sales team in Atlanta specializing in upscale, luxury and specialty assets for the firm. 

Experience
Mr. Webster’s extensive experience in the hotel industry, including senior level positions in operations, real estate consulting, development, brokerage and finance, puts him in a unique position to add significant value for his clients. Since 1998, Bob has exclusively represented clients in the sales and financing of nearly 97,000 hotel rooms totaling in excess of $15 billion. Bob's most notable recent assignments include the $111.9m sale of the Waldorf Astoria Chicago, the $360 million sale of the Montage Laguna Beach, the $140 million sale of the Four Season Scottsdale, $226 million sale of the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines, $88 million sale of the DFW Hyatt Regency, the $77 million sale of the Hotel Viking in Newport RI, the $53 million sale of the Atlanta Sheraton Downtown in 2014, the $293 million sale of the 1,663-room Marriott Marquis Hotel, Atlanta's largest hotel, the $74 million sale of the Hutton Hotel in Nashville, ranked one of the Top Large City Hotels in the Continental U.S., and the $94 million sale of the Back Bay Hotel in Boston in 2013, and the 2012 sales of the 888-room Grand Hyatt Washington, DC, for $400 million, and the $79 million sale of the Hotel Commonwealth, Boston's #1 hotel on Trip Advisor. Other recent sales include the Rittenhouse Hotel in Philadelphia, ranked the #2 business hotel in the United States, the Snake River Lodge in Jackson Hole, and the Providence Renaissance in 2012, and the 2011 sale of the Elysian Hotel in Chicago, ranked the #1 luxury hotel in the United States. Other notable luxury and resort assignments over the years include the Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Laguna Niguel, Half Moon Bay, Palm Beach, Amelia Island, Atlanta and Pentagon City as well as the Kapalua Bay Hotel. Notable urban assets sold by Bob include the Long Wharf Marriott, Copley Place Marriott, the Back Bay Hotel and Hyatt Regency in Boston; the Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile and the new Langham Hotel in Chicago; the Marriott East Side in NYC; the Sofitel, Jefferson, Renaissance Mayflower and Melrose hotels in Washington, DC; Le Meridien New Orleans; the Sofitel and Westin hotels in Philadelphia. In all, Bob has closed more than 200 transactions in the last fifteen years. He has been recognized by Real Estate Forum magazine as a “Superstar Investment Sales Broker,” ranking him the third most productive investment broker in the country. In both 2011 and 2012, Bob received the Jack A. Shaffer Financial Advisor of the Year Award given to the top hotel investment sales professional in the lodging industry. He is the only person to receive the award twice. In 2013 Bob won JLL’s prestigious Top Gun Award.

Positions
Bob’s career during the last 35 years has spanned a broad range of disciplines within the hotel industry. Before joining JLL, he was Managing Director at Hodges Ward Elliott. Prior to that he was Director of Real Estate for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.  Mr. Webster was also a senior hotel real estate consultant with Laventhol & Horwath in Boston and has held management positions with Westin Hotels at the Plaza Hotel in New York City and at the Westin Copley Place, Boston. 

Education and Affiliations 
He is a graduate of the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire and serves on numerous boards and advisory boards. In 2012, Bob was presented with the University of New Hampshire’s Department of Hospitality Management Distinguished Alumni Award.
