Our people

​​​​​​Alex Lassar joined JLL in June, 2004. Today, he specializes in the representation of technology, venture and law firm clients in San Francisco as a member of the firm’s Tenant Representation Group. 

A transplant from Washington, DC, Alex co-founded the Law Firm Services Group, established in 2007 to develop specialized occupancy strategies and implement solutions for the firm’s law firm clients locally, nationally and abroad. Mr. Lassar has been involved in a number of complex transactions for large law firms in multiple markets.  

In 2012, Mr. Lassar aided in the creation of the firm’s national High-Growth Services Group to deploy firm resources to, as well as establish best practices for, the specific needs high-growth technology occupiers. Locally, Mr. Lassar and his colleagues were instrumental in growing the presence of startups and high-growth technology occupiers in Washington DC with notable transactions performed for 1776 (DC’s first co-working space), WeWork, and several large technology occupiers including Living Social. 

Mr. Lassar knows the particular challenges facing startups and fast-growing technology companies first hand. In 2013, Mr. Lassar conceptualized and co-founded HiRise, a peer-to-peer marketplace for small suites and under-utilized office space that promises to deliver unprecedented value to a broad range of occupiers by accelerating speed to occupancy and facilitating tenant credit aggregation by matching complementary requirements. HiRise (www.gohirise.com), now a wholly owned subsidiary of JLL. 

Mr. Lassar advises clients on an international multi-market basis, but currently focuses his practice locally in San Francisco, CA.
