​Current responsibilities
Chris is the Managing Director for the Project and Development Services group in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

He is responsible for the oversight of over 100 people performing project management and development management services for public and private sector clients. Chris has extensive experience developing office, retail, residential, industrial, hospitality, education, healthcare and life sciences projects from inception through occupancy as well as providing corporate interior solutions.

Chris has extensive knowledge determining project feasibility, establishing project strategies, modeling financial returns, assembling consultant teams, directing the entitlement process, and managing the design and construction process. Chris sits on the Management Executive Committee for Project and Development Services team in the America's.

Chris started his career as a superintendent for a local general contractor – Sargis & Jones. As his career progressed he spent seven years as a project manager for Clark Construction and four years with Quadrangle Development as a project director. 

Seeking greater opportunities for growth, Chris joined Spaulding & Slye Colliers – a full service real estate firm that afforded individuals the ability to invest in real estate deals. Chris progressed from senior project manager to senior vice president in 6 years.  Spaulding & Slye Colliers sold to JLL in January 2006 where Chris was the lead for a $1.4B mixed use development. 

In 2007, Chris was promoted to Regional Manager to run the Project & Development Services business in the Mid-Atlantic and join the national Management Executive Committee.

  • Virginia Commonwealth University  & Health Systems – Project executive for over 600,000 sf of new healthcare and higher education facilities
  • Childrens National Medical Center – Development advisor for the health systems real estate strategy
  • Howard University – Project Executive for strategic planning and consulting for the revitalization of the Howard University campus
  • Village at Valley Forge Town Center – Project Director for a $1.4B development including 4M sf:   1M sf retail space, 500 hotel rooms, 2,000 residential units and office
  • Southwest Waterfront Re-development – Development advisor to the Anacostia Waterfront Corporation to select a master developer for a 2 million sf mixed-use waterfront redevelopment in downtown Washington
  • National Institutes of Health Center for Bio-Defense and Emerging Infectious Diseases –Project Directory for a 300,000 s.f. Bio-Safety Level-2 and -3 research laboratory and vivarium, 1,200 space parking garage, one million gallon underground storm water retention system and one-third of a mile of underground utility tunnels
  • Montgomery County Conference Center and Marriott Hotel – Project Director for 250 hotel rooms and 100,000 sf of conference facilities
  • Quince Orchard Park – Project Director for this mixed use development including 1M sf of commercial space and over 500 residential units
  • Willoughby Bay which was a proposed 100 acre mixed use development including residential, retail, office, hotel, conference center and marina uses
  • East-West Towers office complex – Project Director for the acquisition of 532,000 sf of office and retail space
  • WMATA, Greenbelt Service and Inspection Shop - Project Manager for this 170,000 square foot industrial facility on 10 acres which housed heavy machinery to repair and maintain WMATA subway cars
  • Metropolitan Park – On-site manager for a 430,000 sf mixed use complex including residential, retail, and office
  • National Foreign Affairs Training Center – On-site manager for a six-building complex on 72 acres including 485,000 sf of office space, a cafeteria, a TV studio, and a jail
  • Reston Town Center – On-site manager for 1M sf Phase 1 mixed use development

Chris holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics from the Cox School of Business.
