Current Responsibilities
Spencer Jurman is the National Practice Lead for Mission Critical facilities for JLL.  Spencer’s group is presently overseeing preconstruction of data centers in New Jersey, Upstate New York, and Toronto, construction of two data centers in New Jersey, Illinois and the closeout of another data center in New Jersey. 

Previous Experience
Prior to joining JLL, Spencer managed projects for: Bloomberg for 9 years where he was responsible for managing the expansion of their Tier III data center from approximately 2000sf to 200,000sf, with an aggregate value in excess of $100,000,000.00. His role and responsibilities included overseeing; lease review, design, construction and negotiating 7/24/365 maintenance agreements for both electrical and mechanical contractors. In addition, Spencer also oversaw the pre-purchasing and eventual assigning of the following new equipment; eight generators with automatic transfer switches and associated weatherproof housing, uninterruptible power supply, power distribution units, computer room air conditioning units, building management system,  and raised flooring. Responsibilities also included coordination and negotiations with Consolidated Edison, New City’s utility provider, concerning excess distribution charges. 

Education and Affiliations
Spencer is a graduate of Florida International University, where he received his Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, and the University of Florida, where he received a Bachelor of Arts. He is a board member of the Metro New York Chapter of 7 x 24 Exchange.
