Current responsibilities Randy is the Market Leader for JLL’s Property Management business in Nashville, Memphis, and Atlanta where he oversees client service for a portfolio in excess of 35MM sq. feet. The scale of the portfolio and the experience of the team leading it allow JLL to provide customized solutions to individual assets while also leveraging tremendous purchasing power and access to the best property management talent. Key clients with whom Randy works include JP Morgan, Archerd Bell, GID, TA Realty, Met Life, UBS, New Boston Fund, GLP, MDH, The Dilweg Companies, STAG Industrial, and DAWM.
Previous experienceRandy joined JLL in 2013 as the Regional Manager for Property Management in the Carolinas Market which includes Raleigh-Durham, Greensboro Triad, Charlotte, Greenville-Spartanburg, Columbia, and Charleston. In the Carolinas, Randy worked with institutional real estate investors to grow JLL’s Property Management business as well as develop professional and technical talent and optimize client service. Randy has over 17 years of experience growing profitability for investors by increasing revenue and controlling costs.
Before joining Jones Lang LaSalle in 2013, he led Asset Management and Real Estate Acquisitions for Harris Teeter Supermarkets Inc. In this capacity, Randy directed multiple areas of Harris Teeter’s real estate portfolio in 9 states, including owned assets and investments, lease administration, property management, and surplus properties. Prior to Harris Teeter, he worked for large regional developers focused on property management, project management and related functions. Additionally he has several years of national and international commercial real estate experience, and has worked in senior staff roles with federal political campaigns.
Education and affiliationsRandy received his BA in History and Public Policy Studies from Duke University and his MBA in Finance and Real Estate Development from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. He previously served on the Executive Committee of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Planning Commission as Chairman of the Planning Committee, and previously served as Chairman of the Charlotte Zoning Board of Adjustment. He currently volunteers with the Urban Land Institute, NAIOP, BOMA, and CREW, and is a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina.
PersonalRandy lives in Atlanta with his high-school sweetheart and 3 children. He is active in his local church and in his spare time, Randy enjoys hiking, reading, and college basketball.
