Current responsibilities
Adam Mars is a Vice President in Jones Lang LaSalle’s Strategic Consulting group.  In this role, he is responsible for advising clients on strategies for managing their real estate portfolios and teams.  Mr. Mars uses Six Sigma business improvement methodology to work with client teams to develop and deliver best in class work product and processes that are aligned with overall business objectives.  He has trained and worked with clients to implement relationship management programs.  He has worked on numerous process improvement and portfolio strategy projects including real estate transaction process “leaning”, lease accounting process design, and SNDA /Risk Mitigation process development.  Adam also worked on a major administrative facility consolidation projects with realized savings of over $5.4 M over a five-year horizon.

Previous experience
Mr. Mars has a diverse real estate background with experience in portfolio, transaction, facilities and brokerage services management.  During his four years as an Associate/Transaction Manager on the Kaiser Account Team, Adam was responsible for day to day management of transactions and related service delivery for the Hawaii and Pacific Northwest along with supporting transactions in parts of Northern & Southern California.  Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle in December 2006, Adam spent over eight years in the corporate real estate department at Northrop Grumman Corporation where he managed the disposal of global excess real estate holdings with a total financial consideration of $164 M.  His dispositions included the former B-2 plant in Pico Rivera; various parcels in Bethpage, NY; and the former TRW Aeronautical site in Asnières, France.
In addition to working on major dispositions, Adam managed worldwide leasing and capital acquisition/ disposition projects, supported mergers and acquisitions activities, and managed Northrop’s national brokerage service agreements.  He also developed the Northrop Lease Acquisition Process and implemented the department’s Sarbanes Oxley process and documentation.  He was also responsible for managing the company’s facilities and real estate forecast and database.

Education and affiliations
Adam holds an MBA with an emphasis in Finance and Data Systems Management from Loyola Marymount University; an MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles; and a BS in Geology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.  He is also a Six Sigma Green Belt and a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of California (#01752928).
