Current responsibilities
John Duffy began his real estate career in 1971. As Executive Vice President, Corporate Services, John plays an important role as a Corporate Account Manager.

In this role, he ensures communication and coordination between all members of a project team, account team, and other JLL colleagues and disciplines; manages all communications, reporting, structures and processes and of an account relationship; and ensures that clients are well-served and well-satisfied with our wide range of services.

Experience
In his present role, John serves as the Global CRM for Adidas and is Account Manager for such clients as National Grid, Boston University, and Boston Medical Center.

Currently, John is involved in a wide variety of assignments involving transaction management, development project management, lease administration, and property management and strategic consulting.

John , a former corporate real estate manager at three major New England banks has functioned in a variety of roles at JLL. He was the Project Executive in the development of a 175,000s.f. laboratory building with Boston University at BioSquare; a build-to-suit for ISO-New England, a corporate client; he led the acquisition team for a 500,000 SF consolidation of IBM’s software group in Massachusetts; and the acquisition of a corporate headquarters property for IDEXX Laboratories.

Most recently he was involved in the relocation of National Grid’s 312,000 SF corporate headquarters to Reservoir Woods in Waltham.

As the Adidas CRM for the past four years he has also acted as the team leader in the acquisition and construction of nine build to suit industrial facilities and three lagre office facilities around the world totaling approximately 5.0 million square feet of space plus the sale/sale leaseback of  four facilities of 1.1 million square feet.

Additionally he has directed the Transaction Management, Facilities Management and Lease Administration work. 

John was previously the Managing Director of Global Facilities for FleetBoston, responsible for the direction of all real estate functions for the FleetBoston international portfolio, including Budgeting, Planning & Strategy, Transactions, and Property and Project Management.

In this role, John was responsible for an international portfolio totaling approximately 6 million square feet of space in 450 properties located in 22 countries worldwide.

For the four years prior, he was the Director of Facilities and the Director of Retail Facilities for BayBank and BankBoston respectively. He also served as the Director of Development for 13 years at Spaulding & Co., Inc, a development and consulting company.

In that role, he acted as Senior Development Manager for approximately fifteen new buildings including corporate headquarters assignments and consulted for various corporate clients. 

He has been actively involved in numerous corporate mergers, and consolidations. Part of his current role involves consolidation of the adidas and Reebok portfolio.

Some major responsibilities during his banking career included the development of new bank headquarter office towers of 500,000 square feet and 850,000 square feet in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Sao Paulo, Brazil, respectively.
