​​Current responsibilities 

Greg Matter is a Managing Director with JLL and leader of its Advanced Manufacturing Group. Greg specializes in assisting his clients with their real estate strategies. From portfolio strategy to local market execution, his delivery model integrates business consulting strategies with a full range of implementation services enabling him to secure real estate solutions that best support the client’s operational goals and objectives.


Notable transactions

  • Tesla Motors: Northern California – Site selection and location strategy for the expansion Tesla’s regional operating footprint

  • SGI: Milpitas, CA – Site selection and real estate negotiation for SGI’s 100,000 SF headquarters facility

  • Foxconn: San Jose, CA – Location strategy and real estate negotiation for Foxconn’s 150,000 SF Silicon Valley operations 

  • Cisco: Fremont, CA – Directed strategic planning and disposition of 152+ acres of surplus land in Fremont zoned for a variety of commercial and industrial uses

  • Solyndra: Fremont, CA - Developed marketing and disposition strategy for the 411,000 SF headquarters facility - Transaction awarded 2013 R&D deal of the year - San Francisco Business Times & 2013 Industrial deal of the year – ASVB

Education and affiliations

Greg attended the University of Colorado where he acquired a Bachelor’s in Political Science.  In 2013 Greg was a founding member of the Silicon Valley Manufacturing Roundtable.  An organization established to provide awareness of the resources that exist for manufacturers in the area and a forum for continued discussion of key issues.

Greg is a board member of the San Francisco chapter of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), an associate member of the Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC), a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and is a licensed California Real Estate Salesperson.
