​Current responsibilities
Joel Austin is the senior vice president of property management for JLL's Dallas/Fort Worth operations.

He re-joined the firm in 2011 with 13 years of diverse management experience including not only office leasing and management but mixed use construction including office, retail and luxury high-rise residential as well as master planned communities, multi-family and industrial.

Prior to joining JLL, Joel served as Vice President of Property Services for the Billingsley Company and directed the operations of the Billingsley office portfolio.

The Billingsley Company is a Dallas based development and management firm with a diverse portfolio including office, industrial, retail, single family and multi-family master planned communities as well as significant land holdings.

He managed the ground up construction of a 24-story class AA mixed use property in the Dallas CBD and oversaw the operations of the 2.5 million square foot office portfolio. 

Prior to joining the Billingsley Company, Joel was with JLL and served as Vice President, Group Manager for Investor Services in the Dallas region. 

In 2005 he was honored as JLL’s National Manager of the Year. Prior to joining JLL, Joel served with distinction as a Captain in the United States Army.

Joel graduated with a bachelor of arts from Texas A&M University and a masters of business administration from Cameron University.

Jeol is a member of the Dallas Arts District Governance Board, BOMA Dallas and served on the founding board of the Brinker International Forum for the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

He was a 2010 TOBY Award judge, is a LEED Green Associate and is a licensed Broker by the Texas Real Estate Commission.
