Current responsibilitiesMichael Jordan is a JLL Managing Director and leads the People & Process consulting practice. He has experience in technology, pharmaceutical and financial services industries and uses his expertise in strategic planning and operations to help companies set and achieve their sustainability objectives.
ExperiencePreviously, Michael worked in effective advisory roles with real estate executives at several Fortune 100 companies on initiatives to cut costs, manage carbon, and build greener buildings around the world.
His project experience includes carbon management and reporting for companies with a strong focus on business value creation through energy and resource efficiency, employee engagement, and supplier management (e.g., green leasing programs between corporations and their landlords).
In addition, Michael advised clients on green building standards for maximum return on investment in markets from New York to Cairo. He also managed a number of sustainability benchmarking efforts, including a joint project between CoreNET Global and JLL.
Michael is a sought-after speaker at industry conferences. His work on operational risk management was the topic of a JLL white paper (“Managing Risks that Keep You Up at Night”). He is also a winner of JLL’s prestigious da Vinci Award for Innovation; he is an expert at organizational change management.
Michael has worked with significant corporate clients such as Amgen, Cisco Systems, Coca-Cola, BP, Apple, and Hyatt Hotels. Prior to joining JLL, Mr. Jordan served in progressive leadership positions in marketing, professional services, and operations at Sun Microsystems, the U.S. Congress, and the law firm of Bracewell & Patterson.
Education Michael earned an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado. He holds a B.A. in International Studies from the University of Oregon and studied economics and political science at the Université de Poitiers, France.
