Current Responsibilities
Mr. Teare is currently the Client Relationship Manager for the Aetna account.  Based in Aetna’s headquarters in Hartford, CT, Mr. Teare is responsible for leadership of all transaction, project management and lease administration services across the Aetna field office portfolio, which consists of approximately 110 leaseholds and 3.5M square feet, geographically dispersed across the U.S. and including several international locations (London, Ireland, Dubai, Hong Kong, Shanghai & Jakarta).  Mr. Teare leads a team of 30 staff members, approximately 50% dedicated, focused on providing solutions to the client for all lease-related activity and in response to specific business initiatives and strategy. 
Prior to this role, Mr. Teare was the project management team lead for the Aetna account which involved leading dedicated and variable project managers while also self-managing several projects.  Typical annual volumes were 70-90 projects with $25M in aggregate expenditure.
Previous Experience
Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Teare established his own project management firm to work exclusively on Blue Back Square, a $200 million mixed-use project in West Hartford, CT.  Primarily responsible for the entire tenant coordination process, Mr. Teare was also involved extensively in the preconstruction and entitlement phases.
From mid-’98 to mid-‘04, Mr. Teare was a Vice President in the Northeast Region of Jones Lang LaSalle and was involved in the following notable projects: New York Life Insurance, a $30 million infrastructure and exterior upgrade program; Duracell Lab Relocation, a $25 million office renovation and laboratory expansion project in Bethel, CT; Grand Central Terminal Restoration and Redevelopment Project, a $250 million, 860,000 s.f. redevelopment project including 160,000 s.f. of retail space, extensive restoration of historical finishes and upgrading of existing utilities.
Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Teare was a Project Manager for the capital improvement program at two privately-owned commercial office buildings in New York City.  Prior to this experience, Mr. Teare spent over twelve years with Turner Construction Company, in the New York and Seattle offices, working in several capacities on a range of projects including commercial high-rise, industrial, affordable housing and high-end tenant improvements.
Education and Affiliations
Mr. Teare is a graduate of Lafayette College, where he received a bachelor of science in Civil Engineering.  He also completed graduate courses at New York University’s Real Estate Institute.
