Our people

John Sikaitis is a Senior Vice President and Director of Office Research and Local Markets Research for the Americas for JLL based out of Washington, DC. After joining the firm in 2005 as Director of Research for the Mid-Atlantic Region, Mr. Sikaitis took on the role of Director of Mid-Atlantic and Southeast Research in 2007. From a geographic standpoint, Mr. Sikaitis directed the research platforms for the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern parts of the United States, including Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, DC, Richmond, Hampton Roads, Charlotte, Raleigh / Durham, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

In 2009, Mr. Sikaitis assumed the role Head of Office Research, Americas. In this role, his responsibility is to direct and implement strategy, methodology, product / platform enhancement and the firm’s overall analysis, message and outlook for the macro U.S. and Canada office sectors. Mr. Sikaitis also ensures that our research platform is creating and disseminating the most up to date, thoughtful, thorough, proactive and consultative research across 46 U.S. and Canada local office markets where JLL has a presence.

In 2011, Mr. Sikaitis took on enhanced responsibilities by taking the lead as Head of Local Markets Research for the United States, where it is his prime responsibility to grow and differentiate the local market expertise and quality of the firm’s research, while guiding new initiatives and the growth and development of more than 55 research analysts across the country.

In addition to regularly published reports and statistics such as the JLL United States and Canada Office Outlooks, JLL local Office Outlooks, Trophy Reports, Highlights, Statistics, Insights, the Federal Government Perspective, Law Firm Perspective, the High Technology Perspective and others, John and his team of more than 55 seasoned research analysts prepare in-depth customized research vehicles for clients including market trends and forecasts, strategic analyses, viability studies, economic updates and projections, demographic studies, competitive surveys, comparative location analyses and industry studies, among other types of research.

Mr. Sikaitis also sits on the JLL Leadership Research Council, which works in developing best practice standards and collaboration across the global JLL research platform and brand.

Prior to joining JLL, Mr. Sikaitis was a Senior Research Analyst with Newmark Knight Frank in New York City. During his tenure, he tracked and reported on the Manhattan, Northern New Jersey, Westchester, Fairfield and Long Island office markets. Mr. Sikaitis also directed the market report and statistics process for Newmark Knight Frank’s 16 additional U.S. office markets. Prior to that, Mr. Sikaitis worked as a Research Analyst with Insignia ESG in New York City working on the National Research team.

Mr. Sikaitis received a B.S. from Georgetown University, Washington, DC; a Specialization in Central American Relations from the Universidad de Costa Rica, San Jose, Costa Rica; and a Specialization in Latin American Economics and Development from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
