Current responsibilities
Michelle is Senior Vice President in the Project and Development Services group in the Mid-Atlantic Region. 

Michelle has extensive experience in the development, ground up, and interiors construction of office and mixed use projects from inception through occupancy. 

Michelle has extensive knowledge in developing and execution project strategies, leading large project teams, managing the entitlement process, managing and directing the due diligence process as part of transactions and as part of the development process, procuring consultant and construction teams, and managing the overall design and construction process.

Michelle started her career with the Department of the Air Force in the Civil Engineering Division, performing in house design and construction management of Air Force facilities, working her way through Langley Air Force Base to the Pentagon to support the Air Force Civil Engineering budget approval process, working with General Officers and Senior Executive Service personnel to get the Air Force budget approved through the Congress. 

Michelle pursued the opportunity to work with Turner Construction Company in Boston, MA as project manager over projects for Biogen and the Genzyme Corporation. 

After relocating to Washington DC, Michelle managed the 2.9 million square foot office consolidation buildout project for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Offices (USPTO) in Alexandria, VA which included six separate buildings, two parking garages, and townhouse office, and the iconic 600,000 SF Newseum project on Pennsylvania Avenue for the Freedom. 

Michelle accepted a position with Spaulding & Slye in 2005 as Senior Project Manager, working her way to Senior Vice President in the Project and Development Services group in JLL.

Key transactions
Michelle performed due diligence services on behalf of Kaiser Permanente in support of their real estate acquisitions in McLean, VA and Gaithersburg and Baltimore, MD. 

Under extremely tight deadlines, Michelle’s recommendations on cost reduction and alternative methods for risk management provided high value to the client and successful acquisition of the properties for Kaiser Permanente. 

Michelle served as the lead development manager for the pursuit of one million square feet of commercial office development in Prince George’s County, Maryland, obtaining entitlements in record time working with the multiple design and engineering consultants and successfully securing TIF financing for the project.

Michelle served as the lead development manager for a four million square foot mixed use development project on a 125 acre parcel in King of Prussia, PA for Northwestern Mutual Investment.

Michelle also managed the historic renovation of a 400,000 square foot building, on significant base building renovations and interior build out for federal (secure) tenants.
