​​Current responsibilities
Faron Thompson heads up the Atlanta Capital Markets Group, where he structures financial solutions for income property developers and investors. In 2012, Jones Lang LaSalle named Thompson as one of its 40 international directors in recognition of his exceptional work for clients, superior earnings growth, collaboration, teamwork and management of people.  He has since been appointed as the Capital Markets Lead for the Atlanta market. As Capital Markets Lead he will act as the Atlanta office connection point between Capital Markets and other JLL businesses. Faron joined JLL after the real estate services firm purchased Primary Capital Advisors’ Income Property Capital Group in March 2011. 

A founder of Primary Capital Advisors, he specializes in Freddie Mac debt and equity capital. He served on Freddie Mac’s Affordable Housing Advisory Counsel as director of its Program Plus Production Advisory Council from 2001 to 2003 and again from 2009 to 2010. He chaired the same group from 1996 to 1998.

Prior to forming Primary Capital Advisors in 1994, Thompson was a Vice President for HomeBanc, where he generated real estate loans and specialized in identifying problem assets and successfully disposing of those assets. He launched his real estate finance career in 1985 in multi-family construction lending and Freddie Mac multi-family lending with Meritor Mortgage Corporation, a subsidiary of Philadelphia Savings Fund Society.
