Current responsibilitiesMr. Josowitz is a Senior Transaction Manager in the Corporate Solutions Group. In this role he focuses on the management and rightsizing of The University of Phoenix (UOP) portfolio of leases. Additionally, Barry is part of the Pittsburgh Markets Team and works on a variety of tenant representation assignments. ExperienceMr. Josowitz has over twenty-four (24) years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. Barry has represented both Landlords and Tenants and has worked on projects that span the entire spectrum of commercial property types (office, industrial, flex, retail). Since joining Jones Lang LaSalle in 2006, and focusing on Tenant Representation, Mr. Josowitz has completed an average of over fifty (50) transactions per year in markets throughout the United States.
Before transitioning to the UOP Account, Barry was responsible for the management of a significant portion BBVA Compass’ portfolio of owned and leased properties. Work included strategic planning as well as the acquisition and disposition of office, industrial and retail properties. In addition to BBVA Compass, Barry has worked on a variety of Corporate Solution Accounts including BNY Mellon, HSBC Bank, MetLife, National City Bank and Affiliated Computer Services (ACS).
Barry was the Brokerage Manager at The Rubinoff Company in Pittsburgh before joining Jones Lang LaSalle. He was responsible for the leasing of an office and industrial portfolio of properties that measured in excess of 2.0 million square feet as well as the representation of retail, office and industrial tenants.
EducationMr. Josowitz earned a MBA in Finance from the Joseph M Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh.
AffiliationsBarry has been a licensed Realtor in Pennsylvania and West Virginia and is a member of the JLL Health Empowerment Council, Pittsburgh Regional Champions, International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), 911th Airwing Honorary Commanders Association, Temple Sinai Board of Directors, Hebrew Free Loan Fund Board and the Pittsburgh Panther Club.
