Current responsibilities
Richard McBlaine is an International Director and Principal in JLL;s Solutions Development group. He is responsible for designing scalable, customized solutions to align clients with overall business objectives and meet bottom-line goals.

Richard draws on 30 years of best practices, innovative tools and a global network of resources to provide solutions that bring lasting value for clients in the Life Sciences and other industries, including Amgen, Canada Post, Merck, Novartis, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Fidelity, Principal Financial, Pfizer and Whirlpool.

Previously, Richard was President of JLL's Strategic Consulting group. As the group’s founder, he led a team of more than 100 consultants who were seen as trusted advisors for companies across every industry and every region of the world.

Richard seamlessly delivered holistic solutions from workplace strategy to process improvement and portfolio strategy to occupancy planning for companies such as 3M, Bank of America, Cisco Systems, Forest Laboratories, GM, IBM, Pfizer, Procter & Gamble and UnitedHealth Group.

Prior to the merger of Jones Lang Wootton(JLW) and LaSalle Partners which formed JLL, Richard led JLW’s global Corporate and Advisory Services Group. Earlier in his career, Richard spent time with Richard Ellis, Rubloff and Metropolitan Structures. He also worked with IBM’s Corporate Real Estate Division for nine years, including a three-year assignment at IBM’s European headquarters in Paris.

Richard earned an MBA from DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management and a BS in mechanical engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology.

He serves on the Board of Editors for the Journal of Corporate Real Estate and frequently speaks on corporate real estate management.
