Jones Lang LaSalle Enhances Strategic Consulting Leadership Team with Tenured Real Estate Executive

Russ Howell joins the firm’s Corporate Solutions practice with a strong focus on bringing smart growth and productivity strategies to occupiers

CHICAGO, March 28, 2011 — Jones Lang LaSalle today announced that tenured real estate expert Russ Howell has joined the firm as Managing Director on the Strategic Consulting team in the firm’s Corporate Solutions business.   In his new role, Howell will focus on enhancing Jones Lang LaSalle’s sophisticated suite of strategic solutions for the firm’s rapidly expanding occupier client base.
Howell will be based out of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Seattle’s office, reporting to Kenneth Rudy, International Director and head of the U.S. Strategic Consulting Group.

With more than 28 years of experience in corporate real estate and real estate investment banking, Howell has successfully executed strategic consulting and management assignments valued at more than $4.5 billion. His career includes prominent executive positions within the real estate departments of J.P. Morgan & Co. and IBM Corporation. 
Howell joins Jones Lang LaSalle from Johnson Controls where he served as Senior Vice President and Practice Leader of Portfolio Strategy within the Americas region. In this role, Howell led the development and implementation of portfolio and headquarters strategies, including business unit and city master plans, for Fortune 500 clients throughout the United States and overseas. 
Building on his expertise within the financial services sector, Howell will have a strong focus on enhancing the Strategic Consulting Portfolio Planning and Financial Strategy practice at Jones Lang LaSalle, with a particular focus in the firm’s West Coast markets.

Howell holds a Bachelor degree in Psychology from Princeton University and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Columbia University. He is an active member of CoreNet Global, currently leading the Value Creation and Capital Optimization Task Force within the organization’s Strategy and Portfolio Planning Community.
