Jones Lang LaSalle Executives Speak at IFMA Facility Fusion on Emerging Commercial Real Estate Trends in the Global and US Economic Recovery

BOSTON, March 23, 2011 — The real estate industry convenes in Boston today for International Facility Management Association’s (IFMA) Facility Fusion Conference & Expo, a three-day conference at The Westin Boston Waterfront. Jones Lang LaSalle Executive Vice President Tom Turley is speaking on the five hottest issues in the industry. Senior Vice President Janice Cimbalo will provide an overview of the current world markets and trends in the US.

Turley will review some of the pivotal changes that will occur in capital markets. “As commercial debt expires over the next five years, how the capital markets work through re-financing the debt load could have a major impact on the commercial real estate recovery.” Turley will also cover the effect of recent world events on real estate values.

The US overview by Cimbalo includes a historical review of the major trends, with details on 2010 and where that recovery places us as we experience the market in 2011. “This year’s worldwide real estate market has demonstrated a multi-speed recovery, led by emerging markets in Asia and South America,” Cimbalo said. “In the United States, the uncertainty of 2010 is being replaced by cautious confidence in 2011, with certain CBD’s and industry sectors like technology, banking and finance, and oil leading the growth.”

Jones Lang LaSalle’s Turley has focused his career on strategic planning and the implementation of large portfolios in both the public and private sectors. Cimbalo specializes in corporate strategic planning in the public and private sectors as well as value-added client services such as incentive negotiations and workplace strategy evaluation. She is currently a co-author of the IFMA Foundation’s book “Cut it Out” and will contribute to the organization’s upcoming international workplace strategy publication.

IFMA’s second annual Facility Fusion Conference & Expo will be open to conference attendees and members of the media.
