Jones Lang LaSalle Markets Core Class A Shopping Center in Long Island

Grocery-anchored property long-term leased to credit tenants


HUNTINGTON, NY, EMBARGOED TO:  Dec. 8, 2010 —Jones Lang LaSalle today announced the firm has been hired to market the Huntington Square Plaza for sale for a private fund.  The grocery-anchored shopping center is located in Huntington, New York on Long Island.  The 116,221-square-foot center is long-term leased and 100 percent occupied by one of New England’s largest supermarket chains and the country’s top consumer electronics specialty retailer.
Leading the Jones Lang LaSalle team on this transaction are Managing Directors Kris Cooper, Margaret Caldwell and Dave Wojciechowski and Associate Dan Zatloukal.

“The Huntington Square Plaza is a core asset in a marketplace with a limited supply and high barriers to entry and as such is expected to fetch best pricing,” said Wojciechowski.  “We expect this to appeal to a myriad of buyers, including high net worth individuals, as well as Net Lease investors, REITs and traditional retail owners who are searching for an investment opportunity in a prime location in a major metropolitan market.”

Huntington Square Plaza is located along the retail corridor of East Jericho Turnpike/NY 25, a major east-west artery that begins in Midtown, Manhattan and spans Long Island.  The property has strong demographics with a population of 76,355 and an average household income of $128,218 within a three-mile radius.
